Personal Note
Though qualifications and experience are essential components for a quality personal trainer, you can never truly detract from the learning curve and insider knowledge that can only come with taking part in sport yourself. I have had quite a varied sporting background, from bodybuilding through to long distance running, and have learnt the things that no course could ever teach me. I take great amusement at looking back at some of the ritualistic and arguably cult like sporting practices I used to engage in. I have also had my fair share of amusing sporting anecdotes...... from tanning disasters as a bodybuilder, through to warming up my toes in a pub toilet after cycling 40 miles in sleet! The key thing to remember however is that I have endured them so I can best advise you how to avoid them!
A key goal of my training sessions is to always make sure the sessions stay fun and enjoyable, while simultaneously training you outside your comfort zone. Because I adopt the policy of “train, don’t drain” it means you finish the training sessions smiling (hopefully), refreshed, and more ready to take on the world. If this sounds like the kind of personal training you want to engage in then meet me soon at the Abs-tract Studio, Ormskirk.
